Sales Specialist

We’re looking for an Sales Specialist to join our team at Steer EV Canada, the Smart Alternative to buying or leasing a vehicle. The Sales Specialist role is a great opportunity to demonstrate your sales experience to expand the number of members that drive green with Steer.

Your primary focus will be bringing new members onto our platform by using your prospecting and negotiation skills.

What You’ll Do :

  • Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing members.
  • Identify and solicit potential new members.
  • Assess members’ needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate services.
  • Provide input into product design where services must be tailored to suit members’ needs.
  • Prepare and administer sales agreements and maintain customer records.
  • Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain technical product or service knowledge to explain features to clients and answer questions about goods or services.
  • A driver’s license and a good driving record may be required.
  • May supervise the activities of other sales staff and sales specialists.
  • May offer training in the operation and maintenance of vehicle.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Help us identify and build best practices for the sales team and departments.

What You’ll Need :

  • 1-2 years experience in the sales industry or a relevant field preferred.
  • Prior experience in vehicle sales.
  • Prior knowledge in electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and follow-through while paying attention to detail.
  • Should have a growth mindset with the willingness to do different tasks according to business needs.
  • Good planning and storytelling skills.
  • Able to work with, guide, motivate teams.
  • Proven achievement in the performance-based role.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience organizing projects and meeting deadlines.
